Anyone who has studied in a school or university laboratory is familiar with wood laboratory casework. The proven durability and traditional appearance of wood make it a great choice for commercial, industrial and research laboratories as well. Wood casework can accommodate virtually all storage requirements, provide a secure foundation for costly equipment and withstand decades of continuous use. And few materials possess the warmth, feel and colors of natural wood grains.

Special environments and operations may pose unique requirements for casework and furnishings. For certain types of aggressive atmospheres and applications that may require decontamination, stainless steel casework may be the answer. Cabinet bodies, doors and drawers are fabricated of high-quality stainless steel sheet. Joints are welded and ground smooth, then the entire cabinet is finished by buffing to a low luster finish. Counter tops of stainless steel or other materials may be used.

Epoxy resin, silica, fillers and a hardener are mixed as a viscous liquid. The liquid is poured into molds and cured in ovens. When removed from the molds the surface of the material in contact with the mold becomes the exposed work surface.
