Soil: Colluvial soil of sedimentary with great maritime influence creating foggy conditions, which act moderating high temperatures and thus allowing slower-paced ripening. Spring skies are transparent with strong solar radiation.
Harvest: Hand picked. April 10-20, 2004.
Aging: 10.5 months in French oak barrels.
Tasting notes: Overall appearance: Bright.
Color: Light yellow with green hues.
Nose: Very complex, elegant, mineral calcareous with eggfruit, grapefruit, honey tones and chestnut.
Palate: Good balance, fresh and long acidity, grilled nut almonds, figy, savvy and persistent, juicy.
Food pairing: seasoned fish dishes and character-filled recipes.
Cellaring potential: Drink now through 2009.
