Unlike the iFOB test that detects only occult hemoglobin, the Tf test detects Transferrin, a potential biomarker that is identified in several cancer types, including colon. Compared with an iFOB Test, Transferrin (Tf) has a significantly higher positive rate in patients with Colorectal Cancer and Premalignant lesions.
In addition, unlike iFOB test that detects lower Gastrointestinal (GI) bleeds, the Transferrin Test detects bleeding in the Upper Gastrointestinal (GI).
