The Trunk Amplifier is designed to compensate the power attenuation caused by signal transmission and distribution among the passive indoor signal distribution system in high buildings. With lower gain and uplink output power than repeaters, a Trunk Amplifier is usually working as a relay for the repeater or micro-cell to amplify the donor signal where the signal level is not high enough for further distribution.
Due to its low ripple level, less system delay and low noise figure, it can effectively avoid the bad call quality caused by multiple level of amplification and accumulated noise level among the indoor signal distribution system.
