Footwear manufacturer must focus on chemical risk products exports to the EU

In may of this year, RAPEX emited to consumers warning for “Corina” brand women sandals and

women shoes from china manufacturers. The reason is this style of the shoes and sandals

respectively have 0.21mg/kg (Model C3281) and 0.12mg/kg (Model C2336) Pentachlorophenol， more

than 0.05mg/kg Superior limit, Non-comformance relevant countries standard UNE59950.
Also, the European commission in April had on Chinese "Balleri" brand women's shoes warned

consumers, the reason is that women's shoes lining and the insole have 30.1 mg/kg of (VI)

substances, chemical danger. In addition, the European commission has been reported for women's

shoes and kid's  shoes on excess chemicals cause there is a danger of chemical safety warning.
Inspection and quarantine departments to remind the footwear manufacturers: 1,Keep the focus on

the EU to footwear consumer warning, three aspects check on  design, manufacture and

inspection, to avoid potential safety hazard. 2, we must strengthen the awareness of quality

safety responsibility, take the initiative to collect and study the technical regulations and

standards relating to the footwear, raise the level of quality and safety control.
