Wood as School Furniture

Whenever we think of school furniture, then you are reminded of your bygone school days. In countries in South East Asia, wood was the most common form of material to make furniture out of. Hence, furniture for schools was invariably made out of wood in such places even a few years ago. Even today, if one travels to remote and rural places in such countries, one will still find wooden furniture in the village schools. When we talk of school chairs, many of us are humbled to think of the torture that we have unleashed on such mute objects during our days of childhood and adolescence. When we talk of classroom tables, these differ from country to country, region to region. Nowadays classroom tables for students are integrated with their chairs and are a form of a folding platform.
