Our By-pass Fume Hoods allow you to customize your fixture package according to your requirements. The design allows for easy installation of service fixtures and routing of interior plumbing and electrical lines. All by-pass fume hoods superstructures come with fluorescent lighting mounted above and sealed with a safety glass panel isolating it from corrosive fumes and hazardous vapors. Tube lights are easily replaced through the top front of the fume hood superstructure.

The high performance, low flow fume hoods offered by LOC Scientific provide simple constant volume operation offering "zero risk" energy savings not dependent on the operator.  Clean room air flows into the operator breathing safety zone and eliminates potential hazards from fumes, vapors and particles. 

Fume Hoods typically exhaust large volumes of air at great expense. The energy to filter, move, cool or heat this air is one of the biggest energy loads in most lab facilities. Consequently, fume hoods are a major factor in making your laboratory four to five times more energy intensive than a typical commercial space.

The baffle is designed using Reynolds Numbers to distribute energy required to maintain a Stable Vortex™ and the bell mouth duct collar is designed and positioned for optimum efficiency.
