The world’s energy demand is becoming greater and more varied as time goes on. One source of energy which has developed as a convenient way to power electronic devices is the Polymer Lithium ion Battery.
Batteries are usually small containers which hold chemicals reacting to produce electricity. Each battery has two ends, or in other words, terminals, namely a positive and a negative terminal. Inside the battery, a chemical reaction produces electrons and these electrons gather at the negative terminal of the battery. However, only with the negative terminal being connected to the positive terminal, the chemical reaction will continue and produce more electricity. This is why a battery can be put in a drawer or on a shelf for a long time and still have sufficient power when it is needed.
When it is not used, in a short period of time, the battery does not wear out. Usually, the Power Bank battery is used by connecting some sort of device to it, such as a motor, the light bulb in a flashlight, or a radio. The electrons flow out of the negative terminal of the battery, through a wire to the device. And they power the device before flowing back to the positive terminal. This completes a circuit which allows the chemical reaction to continue and the battery to produce more electrons. When the device is powered off, the circuit is broken and electrons can no longer form a complete circle. The battery then stops producing electrons, now that the terminals are no longer connected.
Lifepo4 Battery is one of modern types of battery used. It is introduced first in the 1960s. The principles of modern battery are the same as the voltaic pile. That is to use two different types of metal, separated by a liquid which conducts electricity, with a negative and a positive terminal. One of the latest advancements of battery is the rechargeable battery. A different formula and blend of materials allows these to not only be recharged, unlike the traditional battery, but also to hold their charge for years, unlike other types of rechargeable batteries. These batteries represent a form of energy storage that is ultimately less costly to the consumer, and one that has less environmental impact as well.
