FEP Physical Properties

FEP resin molecular weight determination, there is no feasible method. But it is in the melt viscosity of 380 ℃ lower than PTFE, the 103-104Pa. s. F46 seen much lower molecular weight than PTFE.

       FEP copolymer with a melting point of the different components of a certain difference in the copolymer of hexafluoropropylene content increases, the melting point becomes low. By differential thermal analysis of the measured results, the melting point of the resin-made F46 mostly in between 250-270 ℃, lower than PTFE.

       FEP resin is a crystalline polymer, the crystallinity is lower than PTFE, when F46 melt slowly cooled to below the melting point temperature of the crystal, the molecules re-crystallization degree of crystallinity between 50% -60%; when the melt is rapidly cooled by quenching method, the crystallinity is small, between 40% -50%. F46 The crystal structure and morphology, both spherulite structure, and with the resin molding temperature and heat treatment and processing of the different ways there are some differences.
