It will be decomposed in alcohol and not decomposed in water, slightly soluble in benzene an there is no mechanical admixture in the product. It can be easily hydrolyzed into colloid polymer of silicon dioxide and alcohol. It can absorb water in the damp air and become turbid. After stewing, it can become clarifying and precipitate silicic acid.
