Silicon rubber keypads represent a good functional alternative to keyboards with graphic overlays made of polyester or polycarbonate.
They can be used in combination with PushGate® keys or metal domes, thus offering a significant and persistent tactile feedback.
Available in different kinds of solutions, graphics and colours are applied by screen printing or laser etching with various surface finishings such as:

    · PU matt coating (UV or abrasion resistant)
    · Soft Touch coating
    · Epoxy Resin coating

    · Blacklighting through LED or Fiber Optics

Rubber keypads are widely used in the 'push button' facilities regularly seen in our daily life, such as personal computers, calculators, remote controllers, celular phone / mobile phones, multi-functional telehones, CB radios, car stereos, cameras and answering machinges, the list goes on..

The natural color of raw silicone rubber material is translucent white. Raw materials are blended with silicone-based color pigments to obtain the color required. Phosphorescent materials can be blended with the base rubber to create a “glow-in-the-dark” effect.

Durometer is one of several ways to indicate the hardness of a material. It defines the material’s resistance to permanent indentation. It is named for instrument maker Albert F. Shore, who developed a measurement device called a durometer in the 1920s. The term durometer is often used to refer to the measurement, as well as the instrument itself. Durometer is typically used as a measure of hardness in polymers, elastomeric and rubbers.
