Something Wrong With Your Soap Dispenser Pump?

It is a convenient and hygienic way to install a soap dispenser to provide hand cleaning facilities. However, if improperly used, the effectiveness of the dispenser pump will be reduced. And that’s when it is necessary to repair the pump. In order to ensure that soap will always be available, it is useful to know what problems can arise and how to solve those problems.

There will be occasions when liquid soap blocks the pump of the soap dispenser by getting into the wrong place and solidifying. When this occurs, the trigger and pump section of the dispenser will need to be removed by unscrewing it. Leave the entire component to soak in hot water for approximately fifteen minutes, and then pumping water through it in the same way that you would with soap. When it is clear, reattach it to the body of the dispenser.

If the trigger of the dispenser pump is pressed but it doesn’t move, there may be several causes. Some types of dispenser have the ability to be locked by twisting it so start. Alternatively, a defect may have developed with the spring that makes up part of the mechanism. If you are able to access the spring, check if it is properly aligned and put it back in place if it has become dislodged. Where this is not possible, the entire pump will need to be replaced.

When the soap dispenser is full but does not release any soap when the trigger of the pump is pressed, the problem may lie in the tube that gathers the soap. Unscrew the pump so that it can be properly examined and make sure that the tube is properly attached to the top. If the tube is not properly fitted, it will be prevented you from pulling up the soap. Another possible cause is damage to the tube itself, which may take the form of a hole or a split. When this happens, the tube or the entire pump will need to be replaced.

If the trigger of the sink soap dispenser does not come up again after it has been pressed, maybe the spring in the mechanism is broken. The spring is likely to have lost its tension or has been forced into an inappropriate position. Unscrew the pump to determine whether you can gain access to the spring. If this is so, the pump will need to be replaced.

if the pump of the soap dispenser moves while it is in use, it is likely to be caused by incorrect installation. The pump section must be straight and properly screwed or pushed into place. If the dispenser pump is the type of makes use of a bottle of liquid soap, this needs to be fitted into the body of the casing properly.
