Detailed Product Description

Freerun Bearing is a specialized manufacturer of thrust ball bearings,Non standard size thrust ball bearing.
This type of Thrust bearings is separable and the contact angle is 90 degree. So the bearings can only carry axial load. While the bearings runing, the balls are extruded to the outside of raceway by centrifugal effect and easy to be scraped. So this typy of bearing can not be used under the high speeds condition.
The single direction bearings of them can only carry axial load in one direction, while the double can carry alternating axial load in either direction.

And the trust ball bearings with spherical outer ring have self-aligning functions.

In double-direction angular contact thrust ball bearings, the contact angle is 60 degree. they can take axial load forn double-directions and the unit load form axial and radial drection. Furthermore, the bearings have a capacity of axial space limiting, and also do a little to the radial space limiting.
Axial ball bearings(Thrust Ball Bearing) are available with bore sizes as small as 2mm. Miniature ball thrust bearings are normally supplied in SAE52100 chrome steel with brass retainers but can also be manufactured in stainless steel (possibly subject to minimum requirements). Miniature thrust bearings can withstand axial or thrust loads only. There are separate types of miniature thrust axial bearings with either flat washers or washers incorporating a groove or raceway for heavier loads. The grooved type have one washer with a slightly larger bore to allow it to locate in the housing while the other washer has a smaller OD to locate on the shaft.

This is not a common bearing. So if you can not find the size you need, pleas don't worry. You can contact us and we can provide customized service based your demands. There are many different designs of miniature thrust bearings which involve different materials, with groove or without grooves as well as imperial size.

3 Piece of Thrust ball bearings consist of two precision chrome steel washers (ring) and a ball complement spaced by bronze retainer. They can be supplied with or without radius ball grooves in the rings. Thrust bearings are used under purely axial loads. Thrust ball bearings can handle loads in the axial direction only. Bearing rings mounted on the shaft are called shaft washers, and those mounted in the housing are called housing washers. Both washers contain raceways for the balls. Thrust ball bearings are available as both single and bi-directional types. The bi-directional thrust bearing incorporates a third washer and an additional set of balls. This center washer is located in the axial direction by a shaft shoulder and sleeve. Care must be taken in handling to prevent damage to the separable rings and ball assemblies.

CAGES:

Pressed steel and machined brass cages are commonly used.

APPLICATIONS:
live centers in lathes, lead screws, automotive clutches, kingpin supports, speed reducers

Including miniature series,51100 Series,51200 Series,51300 Series,51400 Series.

Freerun deep groove thrust ball bearings  come in two designs:  single direction and double direction.  The single direction design comprises two rings, referred to as shaft and housing washers and a single ball and cage assembly. The double direction design, on the other hand, comprises three washers and two ball and cage assemblies. The ball and cage assemblies of the double direction type are separated by the shaft washer.
