In the fluid piping system, the valve is a control element, and its main function is to isolate the equipment and the piping system, to regulate flow and to prevent back flow and to adjust and drain pressure. It is very important to choose right valves for piping system, so we must know more about valves.

Operating characteristics decides the main operating functions and operating range of the valve. The structural characteristics decide some structural features on the installation, maintenance of the valve.

The valve is a machinery product to endure the internal pressure, so it must have enough strength and stiffness in order to guarantee that it will not break or get deformed in the long use.

Second, we should check the sealing property of the valve.
