The installation method of low-resistance grounding module

The quality of grounding system is decided by the installation quality to a great degree. Therefore, it is necessary to master the correct installation methods, and control the installation quality. Generally, these principles should be followed:

1.       Choose the place where the soil resistance is lower within the working arrange as far as possible to lay the grounding body.

2.       the site where the grounding body is laid should be far from heat.

3.       the site where the grounding body is laid should be away from strong corrosion as far as possible.

4.       the site where the grounding body is laid should not be the place where people often pass by. Otherwise, measures must be taken to avoid step-voltage harm.

5.       as the practical construction requirements, grounding modules FL-01 is generally laid horizontally, grounding module FL-02 is generally laid vertically. They can also be laid in any way that is fit for the positions.

6.       the grounding body should not be laid less than 0.8 meter deep, and it should be laid deeper on proper conditions.

7.       the distance between the vertically laid grounding modules should be no less than 5 meters and the distance between the horizontally laid grounding modules should be 6-10 meters.

8.       use the same kind of anti-corrosion metal to connect the parts underground by correct welding to ensure they are firm. The two parts which will be welded together should be folded. And the folded length should be 2 times more than the width of the flat steel or 6 times more the diameter of the circular steel. And they should be welded in every edge. It is suggested that the welding length should be more than 800mm and they should be welded closely.

9.       clear away the welding cinders carefully, and spread asphalt or other anti-corrosion material on the welding place to prevent corrosion.

10.   backfill with original soil or fine soil, at least 30-50cm thick around the grounding body.

11.   make a true and detailed construction record.
