When children compile a huge family of stuffed animals, storage becomes a big issue. You don’t want stuffed toys tossed throughout the house, and you also don’t want to tuck cuddly friends away in a closet where they’ll be missed.
Plastic containers are one of the easiest ways to store plush toy animals. They can be used with or without a lid, and greatly vary in size. Put a plastic storage container in the corner of your kid’s room and ensure all of the toys are picked up after playtime.
Using a laundry hamper to store stuffed toys is also another excellent idea. Typically they’re soft and don’t have any rough/hard edges, so they’re especially good for younger children. They also come in a wide variety of colors, shapes and sizes. Another place that’s perfect for storing stuffed animals and is where they usually reside is a child’s bed. We’re talking about cuddle toys after all, and they feel right at home in bed.
And another problem which often occurs when kids play stuffed toy animals is the toys’ disappearance. Young children are intimately connected with their stuffed animals and unfortunately they sometimes go missing. This could be due to baggage that was misplaced during a vacation or simply forgetting their friend at school. And this may seem like the end of the world, but it’s really not.
When you really think about it, a stuffed animal disappearing can actually be a good thing and teaches children a lesson. First they’re attached to their parents and use stuffed animal to cope with separation anxiety, then they must cope with the anxiety of having no stuffed animal. This teaches a valuable lesson.
And, if a stuffed toys online was lost and will never be found, it’s a good time to transition into a new one. This should be done delicately and the process will vary from child to child. In the end it’s important to focus on the positives or things they find appealing to get them to accept a new friend.
