NAME:

Da Hong Pao tea is one of the most famous among Chinese oolong teas, and is listed as one of the Top Ten Teas of China. It originated from wild rare tea plants that were found growing on the cliff of Wuyi Mountain.

Litterally the tea name can be translated as: Big Red Robe tea. " Big" means"da" in Chinese, "Red" means" Hong" in Chinese, "Robe" means "Pao" in Chinese. It has dark red leaves, curled and twisted carefully by hand, with purple-red stripe and vein. Incredibly flavorful tea from the stems of the tea plants among the rocks in Wuyi Mountain. This famous tea is noted for its strong fragrance, yet so mellow taste, and can stand brewing 8 --10 times. A most rare and valuable tea in the world!
