Name:Bai Hao Yinzen - Silver Needle(White teas)

This high quality white should consist of delicate unopened buds of the Camellia Sinensis plant.

The buds should be long, needle-like and covered with silvery-white hairs (cilia). No opened leaves or stems should be present.

The first and arguably the best examples come from Fujian province and are plucked in March and April. Increasing demand has led to production of silver needle beyond Fujian.
